Northern lights from last winter. It was cool show.
Next time I'm more experienced when it comes to photographing such a phenomenon. Capturing colors as they are is hard.

Beautiful. Too bad all that yellow stuff was on the hill! Nice job capturing the lights, though!

...?

I actually like that there's some yellow on the foreground too. Thanks for the comment.

It does tie in the yellow from the lights. I guess I'm just speaking from my own frustration of trying to get the perfect shot... but manmade things are in the way.

How exact location do you want? Europe, Finland, Äänekoski. ;)

Thanks for the fav!

Well I feel quite opposite but you have right to your opinion. I could crop the bottom part away but I found it made the whole look more flat.

No tän ottaminen on vaatinut jo taitoa. En oo ite vielä onnistunut revontulien kuvaamisessa.

I've never had the opportunity to capture northern lights, eventhough I've been to Lapland a couple of times during the winter. Do you take them as any other long exposure shot or is there a trick to make the colors seem more vivid? In my experience, whenever I've taken a long exposure shot at night and the clouds are moving, they simply become blurry and the moon usually ruins the shot because it makes the entire sky glow. I guess it's a bit different with these lights, since that's sort of the point, but here I can see clear vertical 'lines' which would probably blur out the longer the exposure?

I agree that the fence is sort of in the way, but since it's the same color as the sky it doesn't bother me that much :) Would have been nice to see this from another angle where you'd only see the hill and the sky, but it's sort of hard to go back to it since this phenomenon is pretty random.

Definitely worth a :+fav: though ;) Nice work!
